Matt Edmondson writes and narrates a series about the most entertaining Guinness World Records and the brilliant characters who set them, as captured by TV shows around the globe. The programme takes viewers on a tour of record-breaking sequences, celebrating the people who have strived for fame by using their own individual talents to set one of the renowned Guinness World Records. It showcases some of the most incredible and peculiar record-breaking attempts and includes interviews with some of the biggest characters from the world of record-breaking. From the fastest dog on two wheels to the longest fingernails in the US, this fun-packed series reveals some of the most extraordinary humans and amazing animals to be found on Planet Earth. It is also jammed with the key facts and statistics for each record attempt and the people involved.

Punctuated by his signature mirror-confessionals, Records compiles colourful interviews with vinyl enthusiasts, swirling around the proverbial maxim that music has the power to connect us all.

Each week, several great achievers would attempt to break a world record on the show. Before each feat was attempted, three contestants would place bets on whether or not the person would do it successfully or not. The records were typically not of the outstanding kind. Examples included longest time walking on a rolling log, most quarters flipped off an elbow, skate-boarding in a U-channel the longest, and various track-and-field type actions.

Cooper is trying to keep the doors of Paradise Records open with its motley crew of entertaining employees, even as the world works against him.
